About the Role?
As a Maintenance Officer & Grounds Person, you'll help keep our resort operating at its best — from the guest rooms to the gardens. Your work will ensure that everything looks great, works well, and makes our guests feel welcome and safe.
You will:
* Carry out routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and facilities
* Assist with planned preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in top shape
* Look after the resort's beautiful gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces so they stay healthy and inviting year-round
* Support seasonal landscaping and care for trees, shrubs, and garden beds
* Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally
* Monitor and report on equipment, supplies, and potential hazards
* Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to keep everything running smoothly

About You?
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
* Ability to work within a flexible, rotating roster which includes weekends, evenings and Public Holidays
* Sound knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
* Awareness of workplace health and safety requirements, and a willingness to follow safe work practices
* A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
* Good communication skills and a helpful, team-oriented approach
* Physical fitness and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
* Current driver's licence and relevant trade qualifications is desirable but not essential
