Our client is a well-established and highly regarded commercial construction contractor delivering diverse quality projects across Queensland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their head office team in Brisbane.
About the Role
Reporting to and working directly with the Finance Manager, this newly created role will suit a hands-on Junior Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations and project reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts payable and receivable processing
Job cost tracking and project financial support
Jobpac data entry, reconciliations and reporting
Bank and creditor reconciliations
Assisting with month-end processes
Supporting payroll and compliance as required
General finance and administration support to the team
About You
Previous experience in a Junior Accountant or Accounts role within construction
Strong Jobpac experience is essential
Diploma or Degree in Accounting (or working towards)
CPA not required
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Confident communicator with a proactive attitude
