With offices across NSW, we are known for our commitment to innovation, precision, and client satisfaction. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Surveyor to join our Newcastle team.
The Role
As a Surveyor at Monteath & Powys, you will be involved in a wide range of projects including land development, infrastructure, construction, and spatial data capture. You'll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct field surveys using GNSS and Total Stations
* Prepare and manage survey data, plans, and reports
* Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure project requirements are met
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and safety protocols
* Mentor staff where appropriate and contribute to team development
* Ability to work unsupervised at a range of interesting projects
About You
* Degree or diploma in Surveying or Spatial Science
* Demonstrated experience in multiple fields, Construction, Rail, Topo, Control
* Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., 12d, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Current driver's licence and White Card
