Innerbloom Garden Design is looking for an Experienced Landscaper to join our growing team in Hobart. This full‑time role will see you play a key part in bringing high‑quality, thoughtful, and sustainable landscapes to life across residential and commercial projects throughout Hobart and surrounds.
We're already booking well into 2026, with several exciting large‑scale projects locked in — making this a great opportunity for someone looking for stability and long‑term growth.
We specialise in creating modern, native gardens with a strong focus on craftsmanship (We don't do things in halves) — from locally sourced stonework to corten steel retaining walls and native planting. Key Responsibilities
* Construction of hardscape and softscape elements
* Irrigation and drainage installation
* Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
* Stonework using locally sourced materials
* Building retaining walls (our signature is corten steel)
* Planting, with a strong emphasis on natives
* Turf and lawn installation (no artificial turf)
* Reading and interpreting landscape plans
* Preparing, maintaining, and organising tools, materials, and sites
* Collaborating with apprentices, subcontractors, and the wider team
* Ensuring job sites remain safe, clean, and well‑managed
What you'll be doing
* Working across all elements of landscape construction from start to finish
* Interpreting design plans accurately to ensure high‑quality project delivery
* Operating excavators, compactors, and other equipment
* Using your eye for detail to deliver craftsmanship‑focused work
* Communicating professionally with clients and representing Innerbloom on‑site
* Contributing to the continued improvement of building techniques and processes
* Supporting the growth, culture, and standards of the Innerbloom team
What we're looking for
* Ideally 3+ years' landscaping experience (open to all levels)
* Cert III in Landscaping or Horticulture
* White Card
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
* Confidence in instructing labourers or apprentices when required
* Strong working knowledge of landscaping materials, tools, and methods
* Experience with stone, timber, steel, concrete, native plants, drainage, irrigation, and lighting is highly valued
* Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans
* Machinery experience — excavators, compactors, diggers (advantageous)
* Manual driver's licence required
* Truck licence highly favourable
* High standards of craftsmanship and a good work ethic
