Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer
to join our team. This role is primarily focused on
optimising PL/SQL and SQL performance
, ensuring stable, efficient database operations, and supporting business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Optimise
PL/SQL, SQL queries, and scripts
to enhance performance and reliability.
* Analyse existing packaged procedures and design/develop new database objects.
* Apply expertise in
execution plan stability, SQL profiles, and hints
to ensure efficient query performance across large data volumes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve
application-specific database issues
, ensuring system stability and availability.
* Collaborate with developers, designers, and architects to deliver scalable, high-performing database solutions.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Proven experience as an
Application DBA / Oracle Developer / Designer
.
* Strong expertise in
PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning/optimisation
.
* Hands-on knowledge of
execution plans, profiles, and hints
for query stability.
* Demonstrated ability in
analysing, optimising, and troubleshooting packaged procedures
.
* Experience with
high-volume data processing
and ensuring performance under load.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application database issues.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):
* Exposure to performance monitoring tools (e.g., AWR, ASH, OEM).
* Knowledge of database security and best practices.
* Experience working in
Agile delivery environments
