Backyard Dinning currently has an opportunity available for a Trainee / Apprentice Cook - TAFE Student.
You would work with Richard Davies, a Chef with over 30 years international experience in both hotels and restaurants. Richard takes in pride teaching the next generation of up-and-coming Chefs across a range of areas including assisting in the preparation of both hot and cold dishes, and other general kitchen duties. Using traditional preparation methods and cooking dishes from scratch.
Number of hours and days to be worked are flexible depending on the candidate. No previous work experience is required, but a keen interest in the culinary arts is a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will have :

* Eagerness to learn and take guidance from skilled chefs.
* Strong attention to detail with a dedication to high-quality results.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to fulfilling all TAFE curriculum requirements for the relevant trade course.
