We're seeking an experienced Windows Server Engineer to join a large enterprise technology environment on an initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential. This is a hands‐on infrastructure role focused on the design, delivery, optimisation and support of enterprise‐scale Windows services across both on‐premise and cloud environments.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing and supporting large‐scale Windows Server environments in a 24/7 enterprise setting
* Delivering infrastructure changes, upgrades and automation initiatives
* Maintaining high availability, performance and reliability across Windows services
* Driving continuous improvement through automation and modern engineering practices
* Supporting cloud‐based workloads and hybrid infrastructure environments
* Working closely with technical and non‐technical stakeholders across the business
* Assisting with incident, problem and change management activities
Key Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience managing enterprise Windows Server environments (500+ servers)
* Strong knowledge of: Windows Server *********; Active Directory; DNS/DHCP; PowerShell; ADFS/Azure AD; Experience with Azure Arc
* Strong automation experience using Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code toolsets
* Cloud and virtualisation experience across enterprise environments
* Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice to Have
* Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent
* ITIL Foundation certification
* Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline
Working Arrangement
* Initial 6‐month contract
* Robust likelihood of extension
* Hybrid working model - 3 days onsite in Melbourne inner suburbs
