We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our rehabilitation team for people aged 18 – 64 years with an acquired brain injury (ABI) on a permanent full time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.
Our Physiotherapists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to actively promote choice, control and quality of life for our clients. This role represents a senior therapist in the profession of Physiotherapy (PT). In addition to the expectations outlined in the job description for a Physiotherapist, this position is responsible for providing expertise and recommendations relating to PT interventions in response to the service requirements of a facility or service. This position will mentor, supervise and coordinate other Physiotherapists or a therapy team to ensure a quality Allied Health service, working across service areas as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. Registered as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Extensive experience providing physiotherapy services and providing clinical leadership, as well as supervising a health team to support clients who have complex health issues.
3. Proven ability to assess, plan, implement and successfully evaluate client care in consultation with a multidisciplinary team. This includes a strong commitment to providing, with the capability to deliver, safe and high quality care.
4. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills that build effective leadership, develops inclusive teamwork and establishes successful working relationships with stakeholders.
5. Proven customer-focused work ethic, highly developed person-centred skills, strong commitment to Brightwater’s Mission, and values alignment with Brightwater’s value.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently.
7. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement and the capability to identify and implement associated activities.
8. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change and support team members in a care related environment in line with operational and strategic goals.
9. Working knowledge of Safety and Health legislation; and where relevant the Aged Care Act (1997) and Aged Care Quality Standards, National Standards for Disability Services, Transition Care Program and/or care packages.
10. First Aid Certificate less than 3 years old (desirable)
11. Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
12. Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
