Land Officer required for a 2 month assignment in Perth Local Government

Hays Recruitment are searching for an experienced Land Officer to support a Local Government Assets team for a short-term duration. This is a 2 month temporary position, and an opportunity for professional development and exposure to Local Government operations.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Senior Land Officer, you will be responsible for managing the City's land assets. Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Managing, with autonomy, land acquisitions, land sales, road and pedestrian access way closures
- Managing the City's Register for deeds, leases, agreements, caveats and contracts
- Liaising with solicitors, settlement agents and government representatives
- Devising and implementing the best methods for making land asset data and legal documentation available to all staff using current software
- Enhancing current procedures by creating systems or processes
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated experience in land acquisition and land leasing. You will need:
- Knowledge of land asset management and land management processes, including sales and settlements
- Knowledge of Land Administration Act 1997 and its regulations
- Knowledge of Town Planning and Land related legislation
- Skills in GIS, MS Word, Excel and Access
- C Class Driver's License
