Role Description
This is a professional film traineeship, a part time unpaid internship with an emphasis on editing, it is Mondays and Tuesdays 9.00am-2.00pm for 16 weeks.
Whilst there is no guarantee of employment at the end of this Internship, it should be noted that this path is the way we have found all our paid team members, be they full time, part time, project members or other. So there is definitely possible future opportunities for the top people.
The Film Specialist will be responsible for video and film production, editing and filming including the creation of short and also feature documentaries. They may also be involved in writing and location filming related to film production. This role is an opportunity to gain hands‐on experience in the industry and contribute to various projects within the company.
Our Internship meets the criteria of Fair Work Australia. We are flexible for study and exam times, for absences. We cover all expenses, travel, coffees and lunches when Trainees are out of the office on filming assignments. As well as our Certificate of Completion, many universities and colleges give Workplace course credits for completing this Traineeship. Each successful graduate will receive an official diploma on completion. Initially the Traineeships will be a for 4 month unpaid period, special talent may be offered paid employment before the 4 month period expires.
Qualifications
* Video Editing medium to advanced proficiency
* Film Production skills / Camera / Lighting / Sound
* Passion for film and storytelling
* Knowledge of current trends in the film industry
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements
* Strong attention to detail
* 2+ Years Experience with video editing software like Premiere Pro is essential.
