Stralis Energy is an electrical engineering company that specialises in large scale solar projects as well as underground and overhead HV distribution.
We’re looking for a qualified Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our team onsite at our solar farm project located between Dubbo and Wellington. This is a casual position offering a 40‑hour work week, with an hourly rate dependent on experience.
Starting January 2026, this is a excellent opportunity for someone looking for a fresh start for the new year and keen to take ownership of maintaining a busy fleet.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of our diverse fleet, which includes:
- Light vehicles such as utes and ATVs
- Heavy plant and machinery including cranes, telehandlers and generators
You’ll oversee the mechanical upkeep of equipment and ensure all fleet assets are well‑maintained and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, assemble, and service light and heavy vehicles, machinery, and mechanical components
- Inspect machines, engines, and transmissions and conduct diagnostic tests
- Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Manage day‑to‑day fleet maintenance schedules and requirements
About You
- Trade qualified Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Proven experience maintaining a variety of plant, machinery and equipment
- Ability to diagnose faults and work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience with fleet management and maintenance systems
- Must have a valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record (HR licence highly desirable)
- Must have White Card
- Hold permanent and unrestricted work rights in Australia
