Multiple Occupational Therapists required. Regional service located about two hours from Melbourne. Accommodation assistance available and relocation for permanent contracts. Salary range varies by grade and contract type.
Vacancies include: Occupational Therapist – Grade 1 or Grade 2 (Community Health); Senior Hand Therapist Grade 3; Occupational Therapist Grade 2; Occupational Therapist Grade 3. Responsibilities
Provide specialist occupational therapy services across acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation & management, palliative care, and home-based services as specified by role. Roles include assessment, treatment, discharge planning, hand therapy (where applicable), triage and supervision of junior staff, and contributing to quality initiatives. Some positions require work in outpatient clinics and, if needed, inpatient wards or ED.
Lead, develop and evaluate evidence-based hand therapy services where applicable. Support staff supervision and participate in programme development within the Allied Health team.
Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant registration and experience for grade level applying; roles span Grade 1 to Grade 3 with varying responsibilities including home-based service delivery and hospital-based care. Senior Hand Therapist role may be open to suitably qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
Contract Details and Benefits
- Full-time. 6 or 12 month contract or permanent roles available.
- Salary ranges: Grade 1/2: approximately $88,467 - $101,691+ super; Grade 2: $90,235 - $103,724+ super; Grade 3: $103,636 - $122,785+ super.
- Permanent recruitment bonus up to $5,000 (paid after six-month probation); some roles specify up to $2,500-$5,000.
- Permanent relocation support: Intrastate up to $2,500; Interstate up to $5,000; Overseas up to $8,000.
- Accommodation support: Up to $350 per week for up to 10 weeks, or 10 weeks interim GVH Accommodation (where available).
Additional Information
Roles emphasize working with regional communities within a Rural Allied Health Team framework to support independence and wellbeing of clients. There is no nursing home work for several roles emphasized.
