Centre Director – Leopold Centre
What You'll Be Doing
As the Centre Director, you'll be the heartbeat of our centre community. Each day, you will:
* Guide and motivate your team to deliver engaging, high‑quality learning experiences that reflect the EYLF and celebrate each child's uniqueness.
* Build warm, trusting relationships with families so every child feels known, supported, and understood.
* Oversee the smooth, confident running of daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for all.
* Support and grow your educators through coaching, feedback, and a culture of collaboration and trust.
* Bring fresh ideas and creativity to programmes that inspire children to explore, experiment, and thrive.
* Manage key operational areas such as budgets, enrolments, compliance, and ongoing quality improvement.
* Represent Guardian in the local community, strengthening connections and building meaningful partnerships.
What We're Looking For
You're someone who leads with kindness, shows up with purpose, and believes deeply in the transformative power of early childhood education. You'll bring:
* A Diploma of Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (completed or in progress).
* Experience in a long day care environment – open to strong Educational Leaders or Assistant Centre Director seeking their next step.
* A solid understanding of the NQF and EYLF, and the ability to translate these frameworks into everyday meaningful practice.
* Confidence in mentoring and developing a team.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build authentic, lasting family relationships.
* Excellent organisational abilities and experience with operational responsibilities.
* Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications and a valid Working With Children Check.
