**Job Title**:Purchasing Officer
**Job Sub Family**: Procurement/Sourcing
**Position Location**:Adelaide, Australia
**Position Summary**:
With a focus on both tactical and strategic sourcing elements, the Purchasing Officer will be responsible for executing on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) recommendations and manual requisitions to ensure production and aftermarket spares have the right volume of materials available at the right time. The Purchasing Officer will also undertake analysis of Plan for Every Part (PFEP), inventory and supplier performance and future demand liabilities to assist in optimizing material flow.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage Supplier relationships as related to administration, supply and operational issues
- Manage the daily, weekly, fortnightly replenishments for product lines and assessing and acting on MRP recommendations
- Maintain service levels of stock and KPI's to agreed targets
- Partake in PFEP reviews and assess materials for lean supply opportunities to reduce Inventory Days of Supply (DOS) and Excess and Obsolete (E&O) risk
- Review requirement for economical orders for overseas suppliers should they not have been able to be ordered
- Identify and execute on opportunities for sourcing or PPI savings through the supply chain
- Run backorders without purchase orders reports weekly, download in excel and review and follow up
- Maintain and update weekly reports for Standing Orders, Category A Stock, ETA's and acknowledgement
- Responsible for reviewing the high dollar value indents daily and report on progress of shipments
- Work cell metric boards including SQDC accountability.
- Generate Counter-Measure reports for misses and gaps in metric data.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Replenishment Purchasing
- Exposure to Hazardous/Dangerous goods Purchasing
- Comprehensive knowledge of how to import product from overseas suppliers
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain /logistics
