Reporting to the Manager, People and Capability the Senior Business Partner, People and Capability partners with directors and managers to provide high level coaching and strategic advice and support across the employment life cycle. A true business partnering role with a focus on launching significant programs and initiatives to lift the industry capability and drive engagement, the role is responsible for proactively managing a range of people initiatives and cases. Key Responsibilities: Provide coaching and strategic advice, to leaders on performance management, recruitment, change, culture and engagement, wellbeing, recognition, conflict management, career development and other people policies and processes. Lead implementation of frameworks and initiatives including talent and succession planning, fairness and consistency reviews, career pathways/planning. Apply strong business acumen with an ability to understand organisational opportunities and challenges and translate these into people plans to build high performing teams. Drive contemporary people practices and organisational development initiatives to build capability. Use data and analytics to support evidence-based discussions to drive people strategies and initiatives. Focus on early intervention and local resolution to manage people concerns including assessment of workplace issues, negotiating, and applying appropriate action ensuring relevant legislation, industrial instruments and HR policies are interpreted and applied.
