Assist Australia provides automotive customers with wholesale roadside assistance, collision assistance and connected car emergency calls through the support of a national call centre team. Assist Australia supports about 2.7 million vehicles with roadside assistance.
AAA Travel and AMS Rewards procures and manages national rewards and benefits for mobility club members from retail discounts to insurance offerings, and with a reach of about 70% of Australian households.
Chargefox is Australia's largest and fastest-growing EV charging platform managing thousands of charging sessions across regional and national charging networks. ChargeFox partners with government, rental and company fleets to keep EV drivers on the move.
Club Assist is one of Australia’s largest automotive battery service providers. Club Assist offers end-to-end battery programs for mobility club partners and automotive retailers, delivering to every corner of Australia, as well as roadside assistance services. Its extensive battery range, including lead acid and lithium products, covers automotive, recreational, home and commercial applications.
The Role
To support our renewed AMS strategic focus, we are seeking to further grow our battery business in collaboration with the state motoring clubs. The Club Sales Development Manager will support and execute our strategy for AMS’s battery sales program - working closely with the designated motoring clubs to grow sales across its strong member base. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong relationship and influencing skills, as each club brings its own unique approach to battery service delivery. You’ll help execute the strategic direction of the battery portfolio, drive in-field battery testing and conversion, and help execute initiatives various to deliver required sales targets. This role also manages select white-label battery partners via field sales support across designated state territory.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement Club battery sales strategies to achieve goals and unit targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant Club management, patrols, resellers, including support of required battery sales approaches.
* Monitor and analyse Club Roadside & Wholesale sales and battery testing data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
* Train and coach Club patrols, resellers and other key account staff to improve their battery sales conversion and operational processes.
* Provide insights, best practices, and toolkits that empower Clubs to improve their battery sales performance.
* Work closely with operational leads to ensure that our sales and service levels are adhered, including embedding battery checks as standard process.
* Maintain and support select white-label store accounts who purchase AMS batteries, ensuring sales and testing objectives are delivered.
* Manage customer consignment recommendations and instore merchandising requirements, including POS, stands and merchandising displays.
* Effectively utilise the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage all customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records.
* Work closely with other Teams in the business on projects as required from time to time.

What you will bring
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partner/channel management, preferably in automotive, services, or retail environments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence and effectively present to diverse audiences.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, passionate, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Effective planning, prioritising and territory management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to coach, train and influence customers and drive value to their business.
* Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales-related software tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Strong communication and negotiations skills.
* Ability to travel and unrestricted drivers’ licence.
