About the Opportunity
The Senior Coordinator Urban Design and Planning will drive a customer centric team that fosters community, economic and environmental opportunities that contribute to improving liveability of the City, through Planning and urban design initiatives across the municipality.
You day to day tasks will include but will not be limited to:-
4. Foster a environment and organisational culture which encourages and enables change, innovation and improvement to deliver City of Darwin’s strategic directions, community expectations and staff performance and satisfaction.
5. Provide specialist professional and technical expertise, advice and support to the Executive Manager and other stakeholders in relation to strategic planning and urban design and governing instruments oversight, management and legislative compliance.
6. Prepare for and attend meetings of Council, Committees and other meetings as required by the Executive Manager, General Manager or CEO.
About you
We are looking for someone who has managed staff before, has diverse skill set dealing with internal /external stakeholders and who cooperates well with other teams.
To be successful, you must hold:
7. Tertiary qualifications in planning, design or relevant discipline
8. Minimum of five (5) years experience in a professional role relevant to planning placemaking and design.
9. Minimum of five (5) years experience in an operational leadership / supervisory role
10. Possession of a Class C Driver Licence
11. National Police Records Check
