The Bend Motorsport Park is seeking a highly capable Motorsport Operations Assistant Manager to act as 2IC to the Motorsport & Operations Manager. This critical role oversees the daily delivery of motorsport and operational functions across both The Bend and Mallala, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence.
This position suits a hands-on leader with strong motorsport knowledge, operational oversight experience, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver high-performance events.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Motorsport & Operations Manager, the Motorsport Operations 2IC is responsible for the coordinated delivery of day-to-day activities at both The Bend and Mallala. The role plays a key part in resourcing, staff scheduling, compliance management, and overall track and venue operations.
A major focus of the role will be leading the operational delivery of the Dragway, ensuring seamless coordination between commercial, marketing, and operational teams, and acting as the primary contact for Dragway operations.

In 2022, the park added go-karting to its offerings, enriching its legacy of innovation and excitement. Together with Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, Mallala is part of a family dedicated to preserving motorsport history while delivering thrilling, modern experiences.
What will you be responsible for?
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Support the Motorsport & Operations Manager in day-to-day operations across The Bend and Mallala.
- Lead the planning and delivery of circuit racing, Dragway, and Karting events.
- Oversee event staffing, rostering, and compliance with sanctioning body standards.
- Manage logistics including track readiness, timetables, briefings, and site presentation.
- Act as the main contact for competitors, teams, and officials throughout events.
- Monitor budgets and drive new business opportunities to maximise precinct value.
- Build strong relationships with partners, sponsors, and government bodies.
- Step into the Motorsport & Operations Manager role as required.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Extensive experience in motorsport operations or large-scale event delivery (min 3 years).
- Strong leadership and staff coordination skills across multi-site environments.
- Understanding of motorsport compliance, licensing, and venue safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and competing operational priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A flexible, solutions-focused approach and willingness to lead by example.
- Experience managing a motorsport venue, track, or precinct (desirable).
- Knowledge of traffic, noise, and safety compliance planning (preferred).
