About the role
The Visitor Services Officer at Cradle Mountain will assist the day-to-day operations of the Visitor Centre and contribute to delivering essential frontline services by:
* Overseeing Overland Track and Waldheim Cabins bookings.
* Providing information to visitors regarding recreational activities, safety considerations, Leave No Trace principles, and natural and cultural values.
* Balancing and reconciling monies collected through sales and entry fees, ensuring adherence to policy and procedures.
* Providing logistical support and assistance in the event of emergencies and other critical incidents.
* Being a good communicator and able to engage with a variety of audiences.
* Having a passion for the outdoors and knowledge of local parks and reserves, and recreational activities.
* Being organised and able to manage a variety of tasks at the same time.
* Having sound administrative skills.
* Holding a current Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
