1. The Consultant Director of Anaesthetics Hamilton
This position is based at the hospital campus in Hamilton. Full-time or part-time options are available. Enjoy living in a beautiful location in Victoria with excellent schools. The hospital is ideally located with easy access to Melbourne, beaches, restaurants, and wineries of the Peninsula, Surf Coast, and the Great Ocean Road.
This full-time Specialist role primarily focuses on clinical services but also offers opportunities for academic and teaching activities in collaboration with Deakin University. The Deakin University Medical School has a Rural Clinical School based in the town.
The hospital is a fully integrated facility with 282 beds, including acute, aged care, and mental health units. Warrnambool Campus (212 beds) provides acute, rehabilitation, and mental health care, along with outpatient and community services. Facilities include modern operating theatres, a critical care unit, dialysis, emergency services, inpatient psychiatry, GEM, and rehabilitation.

Provide clinical expertise in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine across various settings including theatre, acute pain, preadmission clinics, delivery suites, and others. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you'll guide the anaesthetic team and contribute to clinical excellence.

The department provides elective and emergency anaesthetic services across multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, and obstetrics. The hospital is accredited by ANZCA for training.
