Grain handlers play a vital role in the efficient export and import of grains and commodities. As a Terminal Grain Handler, you will be responsible for unloading grain from trains and trucks, loading grain onto ships for export, and delivering grain to customers via trucks.
About the Role:
* Rail receival: Loading and unloading grain from trains
* Road receival: Loading and unloading grain from trucks
* Shipping: Loading grain onto ships for export
* Road outloading: Loading grain onto trucks for delivery to customers
* Plant hygiene: Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Bunker storage operations: Storing grain in silos and bins
* Grain assessing: Checking the quality and quantity of grain
We provide full training and support to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to perform your job effectively and safely. This includes obtaining licenses and certifications such as forklift operation, fumigation, confined spaces, and working at heights.
About You:
* You possess good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
* You are willing to work at heights and in confined spaces.
* You are able to obtain a fumigation license and Department of Agriculture Approved Officer status.
