About The Opportunity
Join the UON Team on an 8:6 roster working from our Kalgoorlie depot, overseeing maintenance and mechanical modifications of bore-field UON generators at KCGM.
Undertake planned and ADHOC inspections on the condition of UON products as required.
Installation and commissioning of UON products in workshop/Yard and site.
Predictive and reactive service, maintenance and repair of UON and client equipment as required.
Complete general maintenance, repairs and component change-outs on a variety of surface mining equipment.
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts of the power generation equipment by troubleshooting and provide professional advice as required.
Mechanically modify equipment sold by UON to meet customer specifications.
Assembly of equipment sold or owned by UON, including pumps and power generation equipment.
Reassemble diesel engines and parts after being repaired.
Repair and rebuild UON assets as required to company specifications.
About You
This position will suit a skilled and self-motivated HD/LV Mechanic with prior exposure to maintenance and testing of power generation, dewatering and pump equipment.
Trade qualified HD / LV Mechanic or Mobile Plant Equipment Mechanic.
Experience of servicing and diagnostics in heavy vehicle, mining, heavy construction, materials handling or similar heavy industry.
Ability to work in a team or independently.
Ability to work in a remote setting.
Problem solving / troubleshooting.
Current WA HR-class driver's licence.
Current National Police clearance or willingness to obtain one.
