About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hotel Accountant to join our team on a three-month fixed-term contract based in Darwin.
This position offers the potential to transition to a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, focusing on departmental performance and financial excellence.
Responsibilities
* Complete month-end and year-end closing journals and compile financial reports for management.
* Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and all related financial reports.
* Prepare quarterly GST submission and manage corporate tax compilation and submission.
* Supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Develop and deliver staff training and manage team performance.
Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum required)
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
* High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
