We also play a significant role in advancing global health.Our website:https://www.anzca.edu.au/Our purpose, vision and strategic plan:https://www.anzca.edu.au/about-us/our-culture/strategic-planOur annual reports:https://www.anzca.edu.au/safety-advocacy/advocacy/college-publicationsAbout the committeeThe Investment Committee is a sub-committee of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management (FARM) committee.The committee duties and responsibilities include:Oversee and monitor the performance of the investment portfolio.Evaluate the appointed investment advisor and provide recommendation to FARM on their performance and reappointment.Ensure the appointed investment advisor adheres to the investment policy, as well as ensuring the policy is maintained and kept current.Consider any advice recieved from the investment advisor and make appropriate recommendations.About the positionA vacancy on the committee has arisen through current membership term expiration.As an External Member of the Investment Sub-Committee, you will play a key role in guiding ANZCA's investment strategy, providing valuable expertise on investment opportunities, risk management, and financial growth strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial wellbeing of a respected not-for-profit organisation while working with a diverse group of professionals.The committee has a minimum of 4 meetings per annum (approx. 2 hours in duration) and are held both in person (Melbourne) and via zoom, with a preference for at least 2 meetings per annum to be entirely in person.There may be further out-of-session meetings to fulfil specific duties of the committee (e.g. appointment of investment advisors; appointment of new committee members; fluctuating investment markets requiring immediate attention).This is a paid committee position however being a Not-For-Profit it has an expectedannualrenumeration of approx. $10,000 + GST.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate for this committee position will meet the below criteria.Relevant formal qualification (Certified Financial Analyst (CFA); Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA); Grad Dip/Masters of Applied Finance)A proven track record in investment management or financial analysis.Strong understanding of risk management principles.A strategic, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to balance short-term and long-term goals.Experience in evaluating investment and investment manager performance.Experience within the Not-For-Profit industry preferred (although not required); either through prior Board/Committee Member positions, or working within the industry.Expressions of InterestANZCA requests that you please provide your professional profile (CV) and cover letter of no more than 2 pages via the AICD website or Linked In.
