The Corporate Governance and Risk Office (CGRO) is responsible for managing the governance functions of the University, mainly by providing procedural advice and support to the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor and the ANU Council, Council Committees, and the Academic Board. CGRO also manages ANU policy, delegations and the risk management framework (including the internal audit function).
**About the role**:
These opportunities are focussed on the work of a **Committee Secretary, **a role that specifically supports the work of committees established to advise the University Council (the Board).
The work involves providing procedural advice and administrative support to (usually) one of the high level committees created by the University Council (for example: Finance, Campus Planning, Audit & Risk, Student Safety or the Academic Board). This involves creating agendas and producing draft minutes to a high standard, the review of and procedural advice about papers (especially recommendations), forward agenda planning, monitoring membership and liaison with the Chair, members and senior executives at the University.
Other opportunities available - that will also be considered as part of this process - concerns supporting the University's Risk Management Framework (including Internal Audit), coordination and advice about the 'Policy Governance Framework', and ANU Delegations.
