Workfast is seeking Industrial Electricians to join our client's project in Batchelor, NT.
* Location: Batchelor, Manton Dam & Katherine (local candidates)
* $58 per hour plus penalties, super and allowances
* Ongoing work
* Monday-Friday + OT
Candidates must have at least 4 years of Industrial Electrical Experience and an Australian Electricians licence. Workfast will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Shirts and Jackets. You MUST be reliable and hardworking. This job is a casual position with full-time hour weeks for the right Commissioning Electrician and potential long-term work. Plenty of overtime.
What you need
* Australian Electrical Licence
* Electrical Trade Certificate
* LVR / CPR Certification
* Drivers licence: you will be required to travel to all 3 solar farms. This is essential. Accommodation will be provided when required for Katherine.
* Construction White Card
* Minimum of 3 years as a Qualified Electrician / Commissioning Technician
* Certification in Commissioning / Instrumentation (highly desirable)
* Full Australian Working Rights
* Ability to pass full pre - employment medical / drug and alcohol
What you will be doing
* Solar and gas project
* Install, test, and maintain electrical systems for solar panels and gas-powered equipment
* Perform wiring, conduit installation, and system grounding in compliance with regulations
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults in solar arrays and gas infrastructure
* Ensure all work meets industry standards, WH&S requirements, and local electrical codes
* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of systems
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimise performance
