Join The Royal Children's Hospital's 2026 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Graduate Nurse Program to develop paediatric nursing skills in a supportive environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

* Transition from newly graduated Registered Nurse to competent and confident Registered Nurse
* Complete a 2-year foundational paediatric nursing pathway with 3 rotational clinical placements in medical, surgical, and specialty paediatric nursing
* Provide child-focused, family-centred care
* Engage in critical questioning and reflective practice
* Integrate into effective multidisciplinary teams
* Practice within medical, surgical, and specialty wards and departments

About You

The company is looking for:

* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants (Designated Position under Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic) and Racial Discrimination Act 1975)
* Graduates eligible for the PMCV 2025 graduate match who have not yet secured a position
* Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents preferred
* Completion of an approved nursing or midwifery program offered by a provider in Victoria or border community
* Recipients of the Victorian Making it Free to Study Nursing and Midwifery initiative given priority
* Ability to provide satisfactory Police Check, Working with Children Check, and Australian Government COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
