This role will see you running strategic programs for the business, including the NEM 2025 reform program and other digital initiatives that modernise critical infrastructure, accelerate decarbonisation, and enable a smarter, more resilient grid.
Responsible for leading the delivery of digital programs driving transformation across AusNet’s asset management and market services. This includes enhancing asset lifecycle planning, maintenance scheduling, and operational analytics, as well as modernising metering, network billing, market settlement, and connection processes.
The role will manage a diverse portfolio of digital programs and projects involving complex data types, including asset health, maintenance, usage patterns, metering, lidar, and market data.
This is a permanent full-time role with a hybrid work setup (Office/WFH). You'll be based at our Southbank office and will be part of the Digital & Technology team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
* Oversee delivery of a portfolio of project business cases, plans, and outcomes within agreed cost, time, scope, and quality parameters.
* Develop and implement the roadmap for strategic programs within the Asset Management & Market Services Portfolio.
* Provide strategic oversight and digital-solution leadership to bridge business objectives with digital delivery, ensuring alignment and integration across stakeholders.
* Maintain strong governance and portfolio oversight, ensuring alignment with Digital and Enterprise PMO requirements for reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
* Oversee the translation of business requirements and outcomes into clear, measurable initiatives that align with AusNet’s strategy.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
* Experienced Program or Portfolio Director with a proven track record delivering a portfolio of complex digital programs over $15M, ideally in asset-intensive and regulated sectors.
* Proficient in managing projects from concept through to implementation and benefits realisation, with portfolio experience in budgeting, resource planning, risk management, group facilitation, and reporting.
* Skilled in balancing technical solution oversight, change management, and business stakeholder alignment, while resolving delivery challenges and maintaining program momentum.
* Experience in delivering data and information management (IM) projects, including data quality, integration, governance, and reporting. Exposure to enterprise data architecture, regulatory compliance, and data-driven business optimisation is preferred.
* Knowledge of electricity and gas asset and metering data, billing and settlement processes, and regulatory obligations in market operations is highly desirable.
