This business is a leading online investing and share-trading platform in Australia, backed by a major bank. It supports everyday investors to buy and sell Australian shares and access global markets, with strong research tools and customer service behind it.
We're hiring a Customer Service Representative to join the contact centre team supporting investors and traders. This is an initial 12-month temporary role, paid $37.13 per hour + super, with a clear view to permanency for strong performers.
You'll support clients across a range of enquiries, working in an environment where quality, care, and doing the right thing matter. You don't need years of experience, you do need the right attitude, strong communication, and a willingness to be coached.
-----------------------------------
A typical day in this role:
* Take inbound calls and digital enquiries from clients using the trading platform.
* Ask the right questions, understand what the customer needs, and provide clear, accurate help.
* Aim for first-time resolution where possible, without cutting corners on quality.
Learn and apply coaching:
* Actively participate in training, call coaching, and development sessions.
* Take feedback on board quickly and use it to lift your confidence and performance.
* Contribute ideas on how we can improve customer experience and make things easier for clients.
Handle complaints appropriately:
* Recognise when a customer is unhappy or experiencing friction.
* Follow the right process to log, manage, or escalate complaints.
* Support the investigation of more complex issues by gathering accurate details.
Work with a strong risk mindset:
* Follow internal policies, scripts, and compliance standards.
* Protect customer information and data at all times.
* Speak up early if something doesn't look right or you're unsure risk awareness is part of the job.
This role suits someone early in their career who wants to grow:
* Strong communication skills you can explain things simply and calmly.
* A genuine customer-first attitude (you want to help, not just finish calls).
* Comfortable working to targets like service quality and productivity.
* Good attention to detail and willingness to follow regulated processes.
* Resilient, positive, and open to ongoing coaching.
* Any exposure to call centres, banking, or investing is a plus, not essential.
