About the Role

Join our growing team! We have several exciting opportunities for compassionate Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Maitland

In this rewarding role, you'll provide compassionate, person-centred support to elderly clients in their homes and local communities. Your focus will be on promoting independence, preserving dignity, and enhancing overall quality of life.

As a vital part of our clients' daily lives, your responsibilities may include:

* Transport to appointments or social activities
* Assistance with Personal care
* Welfare Checks; offering emotional support
* Meal preparation and light housework
* Medication assistance
* Shopping and companionship
* Respite

About You

Essential Requirements & Attributes:

* Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent Aged Care Qualification (industry experience preferred
* A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* A current or willingness to obtain: Police Check & Working with Children Check (WCC)
* You're empathetic, patient, and a strong communicator
* Self-motivated, reliable, and thrive in a supportive team environment
* NSW Driver License and a Certified Safe Driving Record (acquired through Service NSW)
* A reliable, well-presented vehicle with comprehensive insurance cover
* ADSSI strongly encourages all employees to stay current with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, or NSW Health.
* Evidence of protection against Diphtheria, Measles, Hepatitis B, Pertussis, Mumps, Varicella, Tetanus, Rubella, (Influenza is highly recommended)
* As part of the application process, you will be required to undergo comprehensive pre-employment screening check.
