Overview
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Industrial/Commercial Electrician to perform electrical maintenance, installations, and fault finding on automated doors / roller shutters / automated gates in the Sunshine Coast area. This position will mainly involve diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in industrial/commercial automatic doors, motors and control panels in the products we support. To contribute to the ongoing success of maintaining our renowned reputation for our products, we offer a 24/7 service to our customers. As a result of this commitment to our customers, there will be a requirement for you to be on an after-hours roster on a rotational basis - receiving a competitive on-call allowance.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, installations, and fault finding on automated doors, roller shutters, and automated gates.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in industrial/commercial automatic doors, motors and control panels.
- Be on after-hours roster on a rotational basis to support 24/7 service commitments (on-call allowance).
Qualifications
- Valid Australian driver’s license with a explicit driving record
- Unrestricted Electrical License (essential)
- Experienced in three-phase electrical work (essential)
- Strong problem-solving / fault finding skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Scissor lift certification (or willing to obtain)
- LF forklift license (advantageous, but not essential)
- Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, is required
