Role Purpose:
Our Mount Isa Office is looking for an experienced Family/Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You:
* You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
* You should demonstrate a high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family and Civil Law proceedings (including casework relating to Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications; plus, casework relating to Civil Litigation generally, such as Anti-discrimination matters, Estates, and Consumer Protection type matters.
* Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years of full-time experience, resilience in handling complex cases, including Domestic Violence and Child Protection work, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills.
