A well-established, Queensland-based business is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to lead its' Gladstone branch. The company services a wide range of heavy equipment – including haulage, earthmoving, and lifting machinery – and prides itself on its strong family-oriented culture.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all branch activities – from workshop operations and team performance to client relations .The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with a strategic mindset and a hands-on leadership style.
Your Role:
As the leader of the Gladstone operation, you'll be responsible for:
* Overseeing day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
* Scheduling and managing client work effectively to maximise productivity and meet deadlines.
* Leading a team of trades and admin staff, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
* Reviewing job packages before invoicing and monitoring internal processes to ensure smooth workflow.
* Building strong relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
* Acting as the key decision-maker and primary contact for the region.
* Monitoring and managing the branch P&L.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven leadership experience in a retail mechanical, industrial, or similar operational environment.
* Strong understanding of heavy equipment service and repair.
* Excellent people management and communication skills.
* A results-driven mindset with the ability to juggle priorities.
* Comfortable with both technical problem-solving and customer-facing interactions.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
* HR licence (desirable but not essential).
* A solid grasp of workshop operations and technical service delivery.
