Network Planning Engineer

About the Role
This is a key position in our network planning team. We're looking for someone who can develop strategic solutions to keep our network ahead in an ever-changing energy landscape.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Designing and delivering comprehensive planning processes to assess network capabilities, emerging issues, and identify areas where limitations are existing or expected to emerge in the future.
* Leading the planning for network augmentation to maintain bushfire safety compliance with REFCL technology.
* Managing delivery of non-network solutions required to reduce network demand and generation to avoid/defer network investments.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Relevant qualification and experience in Engineering.
* Experience in contemporary electricity network planning, asset management practices, and overarching markets.
* Proficiency in using electricity network analysis tools or relevant software (such as Sincal, PSS/E, PowerFactory, and/or PSCAD) and interpreting results.
* Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception to implementation and realisation of program objectives.
* Sound knowledge of National Electricity Rules, the energy markets, and relevant laws, regulations, rules, licenses, and agreements.
