We are seeking a highly capable RIS Administrator to join our Billings & Systems team in Clayfield, Brisbane. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our Radiology Information System (RIS) supports seamless clinical workflows, billing accuracy, and regulatory compliance across our network.
About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Billings & Systems Manager, the RIS Administrator is the subject matter expert for the Radiology Information System. You will oversee system configuration, maintenance, optimisation, and enhancement to ensure it meets evolving clinical, operational, and compliance requirements.
Working collaboratively with Patient Accounts, IT, Operations, and the PMO, you will support system upgrades, billing policy updates, workflow improvements, and new site configurations.

Key Responsibilities System Maintenance & Support
Act as the RIS subject matter expert, ensuring system stability, functionality, and data integrity.
Manage system configuration, updates, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance.
Oversee day-to-day administration, including doctor data maintenance and patient record management.
Billing & Compliance
Maintain Medicare and health fund fee schedules within the RIS in line with national updates.
Configure individual billing profiles for doctors and sites.
Support compliance with Medicare, private health fund, and third-party billing requirements.
Implement and communicate billing policy updates across relevant stakeholders.
Projects & Workflow Optimisation
Collaborate on RIS-related projects, enhancements, and system integrations.
Support RIS configuration during new site rollouts.
Participate in system testing for upgrades and workflow alignment.
Identify inefficiencies and implement system-based improvements.
Generate reports and data extracts to support operational and billing decisions.
About You
You are analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working with complex healthcare billing systems. You enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and collaborating across teams.
Essential
Strong knowledge of Medicare, health fund, and third-party billing processes.
Experience using Karisma or similar billing/RIS platforms in a high-volume medical environment.
Exposure to diagnostic imaging, radiology, or specialist healthcare billing.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Strong time management and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable:
Diploma or Certificate in Health Administration or related field.
Experience contributing to system or process improvement projects.
Experience supporting billing audits and revenue recovery activities.
