Our client a Federal Government body is looking for an experienced Project manager to lead a project to help enhance their ITSM capabilities.
Looking to implement a new Service Management Platform using Service Now in conjunction with implementing a SIAM model and are looking for a project manager to lead these pieces of work.
Role Description
5. Setting the direction and supporting the team members in delivering successful outcomes
6. Development and oversight of key stakeholder engagements within Information Technology and business areas. Leading major projects across multiple divisions, to meet the department’s required outcomes.
7. Formalising project structure, resources, governance and stakeholder engagement plans.
8. Manage the development of the required artifacts for the project in line with department’s governance and assurance frameworks.
9. Engage and collaborate with other project streams to manage inter dependencies, cross share capability and capacity, and ensure delivery of value-add, integrated solution.
10. Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, partner, industry and peak bodies, and suppliers as required to deliver a well-defined and understood solution.
11. Identify and manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans,assignment of owners, mitigation and due dates, undertake regular risk reviews and report current high risks to the Program Board as they are identified via highlight report.
12. Take responsibility for project progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary, foreshadowing upcoming resource needs and actioning engagement well ahead of start dates.
Deliverables
13. Plan and manage the overall program of work to deliver required outcomes.
14. Develop and deliver the appropriate artefacts to support the project.
15. Build, Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
16. Identify and manage changes to the program whilst working in an agile and responsive environment.
17. Develop and run a Secretariat and maintain a governance structure for the project.
18. Managing and maintaining an acceptable risk profile.
19. Reporting effectively and regularly to stakeholders across projects using appropriate tools
20. Manage and lead business solutions projects using the Agile development practices.
21. Build positive, influential and professional relationships with business stakeholders, technical staff and project team members.
22. Deal with significant and contentious issues, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders.
23. Demonstrate proficiency with program and project management standards and processes using the PRINCE2 and an understanding of the Agile delivery approach and how to apply it.
Skills:
24. 5 years project delivery experience.
25. Project/Program certifications will be highly regarded.
26. Experience managing service Management and/or technical projects.
27. Understanding of Service Management and /or service Management tools.
28. Experience in implementing and/or working within a SIAM model.
29. Experience in implementing and/or working with Service Now
