The Position
One of Adelaide's leading independent girls' schools seeks to appoint an outstanding and visionary educator to the position of Director of Performing Arts, commencing in 2026. This is a significant opportunity to lead a dynamic and growing programme, overseeing music, drama, and musical theatre from Reception to Year 12, and to shape the future of performing arts at the College.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal: Pedagogy and Academic Leadership, the Director of Performing Arts will provide strategic and inspirational leadership, fostering a culture of creativity, participation, and excellence. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team, championing innovative curricular and co-curricular programmes, and delivering high-quality performances and productions that enrich the life of the College.
With a proven record of leadership in performing arts education, the appointee will possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, a collaborative and future-focused approach, and the ability to inspire students and staff alike. Experience in developing others, building high-performing teams, and engaging the broader community will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, innovative educator, committed to the values and mission of the College and passionate about empowering girls through the performing arts.
