Locksmith Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Locksmith II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a working leader responsible for coordinating tasks, activities, supplies, and equipment of locksmiths under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical, electrical, or computerized locking devices
* Perform required and preventive maintenance on card "swipe" locks
* Cut new or duplicate keys and key cards; generate master key cards
* Move lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys; open safe locks by drilling
* Prepare work schedule and payroll; process leave requests; maintain and submit records as appropriate
* Maintain records and logs of locks and corresponding keys for key control system
* Interact with Gaming Commission and Security department to ensure integrity of security system
* Monitor and maintain inventory of cut keys, blanks, and locks; generate requisitions for replenishment as necessary
* Promote positive public/employee relations at all times
* Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Requirements:
* High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and 1 year of gaming industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
