Delaware North Australia is seeking a full-time Assistant Bar Manager to join our Stomping Ground venue at Melbourne Airport. If you’re passionate about craft beer, thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and love creating memorable guest experiences, this is your chance to shine.
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll support the Bar Manager in driving daily operations, leading a high-energy team and elevating service standards. Your contribution will help shape the venue’s success and position it as a standout destination for travellers and beer lovers alike.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day bar operations with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Champion exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
- Drive financial performance through budget management, stock control and labour oversight
- Ensure compliance with OH&S; and food safety standards
- Lead, train and motivate a diverse team to consistently exceed expectations
- Promote and celebrate our craft beer offering, ensuring staff are knowledgeable and guests are engaged
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy bar or restaurant setting
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- A genuine interest in craft beer and the ability to share that enthusiasm with guests and team members
- Energetic, guest-focused and self-motivated with strong leadership skills
- Skilled in team development, recruitment and performance coaching
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
