Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are seeking a Local Service Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the Family Intervention Services (FIS) in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald and Mackay. The position is based in Rockhampton and will report directly to the Statewide Manager, Family Protection.
In this role you will:
* provide practice guidance and leadership of services for vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS) program, with emphasis on the effective supervision of staff to ensure the delivery of high quality, best practice service delivery
* manage the program within budget and in consultation with the State-Wide Manager, contribute to the budget planning cycle with specified accountability requirements
What makes a difference for us?
The successful candidate will ideally present with the following:
* Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard.
* Significant experience in providing services to children and families
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)
* Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
* Current drivers' licence.
* A current Blue Card or willingness to make an application for one
* Must also be willing to undergo a personal history checks under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services
