As an Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing case management support to Aboriginal clients with drug and alcohol dependence issues.

Key responsibilities include:
">
">
* Providing case management support to Aboriginal clients with drug and alcohol dependence issues;
">
* Promoting a client-focused approach to engaging with clients affected by alcohol and other drug use issues;
">
* Empowering clients by delivering alcohol and other drugs programs and services from a holistic approach;
">
* Reducing the level of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug usage in the local Aboriginal community.
">
">
You will have extensive work experience and/or a qualification relevant to the role. This will include:
">
">
* Experience either professional, community or family related in supporting Aboriginal people and their families who have alcohol and other drug issues;
">
* Case management, including consultation, assessment, support, referral & follow-up;
">
* Team care planning for SEWB clients;
">
* Providing outreach support & working in partnership with client to reach identified goals;
">
* Understanding of the current health issues relevant to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities;
">
* Education and running health promotion programs.
">
