YOUR ROLE
Join our team as a Software Asset Management Specialist!
You will help ensure the efficient and effective management of software assets, and enhance digital experiences for customers, colleagues, and partners. Your expertise will align with our strategic priorities, driving value creation, innovation, and improved performance. You'll develop strategies for future growth, oversee software products and services across the IAG estate, and continuously refine software asset management processes.
As a Software Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimising IAG’s software assets. This includes performing software baselines across major suppliers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM), identifying and remediating licence compliance risks, and finding cost and licence optimisation opportunities. To achieve this, you will use various IT asset management systems like Flexera, Service Now, SCCM etc, and work cross functionally with Procurement, Commercial and Application teams.
Key responsibilities of your role
1. Conduct software baselines to ensure compliance and optimise licensing.
2. Identify and mitigate risks associated with software assets.
3. Implement license optimisation opportunities to reduce costs.
4. Use IT asset management systems (e.g., Flexera) to track software assets.
5. Develop and manage software asset management policies.
6. Collaborate with procurement, IT, and other departments.
7. Prepare and present reports on software asset management activities.
8. Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
9. Assist in budget planning related to software assets.
