About the Role
We are undertaking a strategicDigital Experience Project to transform how users engage with our collections and services. We are seeking anEL1 Project Manager to lead the delivery of this initiative, ensuring seamless coordination across teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
You will driveend-to-end project management —from planning to implementation—using agile methodologies while aligning outcomes with ourStrategy 2025-2030. This role is critical to uplifting both public-facing platforms and internal systems, delivering measurable benefits for staff and users.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of amedium-to-large-scale digital transformation, managing scope, budget, risks, and timelines.
Fosteragile practices and iterative delivery, ensuring adaptability to changing priorities.
Engage stakeholders across business units, executives, and external partners to build consensus and drive adoption.
Overseeprocurement, contracts, and vendor management, ensuring compliance with government frameworks.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, tracking benefits and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Mentor junior staff and promoteAPS Values, workplace diversity, and WHS principles.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a dynamic leader with:
Proven experience deliveringdigital transformation projects impacting multiple teams or user groups.
Expertise inagile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid project management approaches.
Strongstakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Experience ingovernment procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor oversight.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to solve problems and align projects to organisational goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reports, pitches, and change management.
