A temporary full time PD/H/PE Teacher position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach across all PD/H/PE subjects.
The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider College community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
- Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College whilst supporting the PD/H/PE Faculty and what it offers the College.
- The ability to teach Religious Education.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching the nominated Key Learning Area (s).
- Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
