As a result of this growth, they are looking to recruit the newly created permanent role of Senior Risk & Resilience Manager, with a view to lead a team in the future.
The Senior Risk and Resilience Manager plays a pivotal right hand role in the delivery of risk management and business resilience services within the company.
Key responsibilities include:
* Championing a culture that prioritises and comprehends the importance of risk management and business resilience.
* Assessing and appraising modifications to the Enterprise Risk and Compliance Framework, including relevant policies.
* Spearheading the enhancement of enterprise risk reporting, overseeing system upgrades, and facilitating educational programs addressing both operational and strategic risks.
* Leading and participating in risk workshops at company and industry levels, as well as crisis management and business continuity exercises.
* Directing the development of risk management reports concerning SOCI (Significant Operational, Compliance, and Integrity) material risks.
* Devising and implementing the risk management strategy, including evaluating strategic alternatives and methodologies.
* Supervising the performance and deliverables of direct reports, as well as collaborating with co-source/strategic advisers to achieve desired outcomes.
* Engaging with peers within the risk management industry to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends.
* Overseeing the integration of new and future assets from an enterprise risk and resilience standpoint.
* Leading the formulation and administration of the company's risk appetite and assisting with matters related to enterprise risk and resilience, involving Executive and Board engagement in collaboration with the Head of Risk, Compliance, and Assurance.
The ideal candidate for this role is a senior specialist (10-15+ years exp.) in Risk Management, preferably with relevant career growth in complex organisations and sectors including professional services, infrastructure, logistics, energy, manufacturing, and resources.
Given the seniority of this role, it is important for the ideal candidate to have experience in specialist roles and a track record of developing and managing Enterprise Risk Management and Resilience Framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to engage and influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders. Leadership experience is also sought after, with scope to manage direct reports once embedded in the role.
