Offer description

Adelaide Metro Operations (AMO) are the proud maintainers of the Adelaide Tram Network and are responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of Adelaide's tram services — maintaining both rolling stock and infrastructure assets under a long-term maintenance-only contract. We are a dedicated team committed to operational excellence, compliance, and innovation in public transport delivery.

AMO is seeking a Commercial and Compliance Manager to provide strategic leadership across commercial governance, contract performance, reporting, and compliance for our maintenance-only contract covering Infrastructure and Rolling Stock Maintenance.

This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, contractual compliance, performance reporting, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to protect AMO's contractual interests and support strong, data-driven decision-making.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring AMO meets its contractual, financial, and performance obligations while identifying opportunities to optimise outcomes across the contract.

You will lead commercial strategy, oversee reporting and KPI performance, manage compliance with contractual requirements, and support procurement and supplier management activities. This role plays a key part in revenue assurance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and implement commercial strategies that protect AMO's contractual and financial interests.
* Provide high-quality commercial and compliance advice to the Senior Leadership Team.
* Oversee pricing, cost modelling, financial analysis, and commercial risk management.
* Coordinate and deliver accurate, timely contractual, regulatory, and Board reporting.
* Monitor KPI performance and contractual compliance, working with internal teams and the client to resolve issues and ensure accurate fault attribution.
* Identify revenue assurance opportunities and support the optimisation of contractual outcomes.
* Lead procurement and supplier engagement activities, including contract negotiation and performance management.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, compliance, and commercial processes.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.

About You

You are a commercially minded professional who is comfortable working across contracts, data, finance, and operations. You can translate complex information into clear insights, manage competing priorities, and influence outcomes at a senior level.

You will bring:

* Strong experience in commercial management, contract administration, reporting, compliance, or performance management roles.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret contracts, manage risk, and support pricing or variation processes.
* Experience delivering KPI-driven reporting and compliance in a regulated or contract-based environment.
* Well-developed analytical skills, with confidence using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
* The ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, clients, and operational teams.

Qualifications & Experience

* A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent practical experience) in commercial management, finance, business, reporting, or compliance.
* Significant experience (7+ years) in commercial, compliance, reporting, or performance-focused roles within complex or regulated environments.
* Experience in rail, transport, infrastructure, utilities, or government-related services will be highly regarded.

How to Apply

If you're ready to lead with purpose and drive commercial excellence and strategic impact across a critical public transport contract, we'd love to hear from you.

Submit your application, including a cover letter and resume, addressing your experience relevant to this role.

Applications close: Wednesday, 11 February 2026
