The Live Run Coordinator manages and executes the operational plan for commodities in the live environment, crewing and resources, including Live Run support staff, ensuring business and customer outcomes are met.
This position offers the ability to work remotely from home (for the right candidate) or based out of our Head Office located in Bendigo Victoria.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
* Manage and coordinate planned operations in a live environment, including but not limited to.
* Manage live changes to the operational plans and follow the escalation process as required.
* Allocate tasks to Train Crew & the Liverun Support and Data.
* Manage effective and efficient crew reliefs.
* Make shift adjustments (e.g. lift ups/lay backs) to suit operations within fatigue management and EA principles.
* Ensure resource plans are executed and amended as required to efficiently maximise business outcomes.
* Manage pathing of short notice requirements in a live environment.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure loading and unloading schedules are available.
* Liaise with customers as required to ensure service progress is understood and changes to their service details and paths are communicated.
* Liaise with all relevant stakeholders in the event of any significant rail incident.
* Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with WIMs, Company policy, procedures and in line with the Company values, and/or applicable industrial instruments.
* Understand and apply relevant network rules and procedures and appropriate minimum standards for operating rollingstock on relevant networks.
* Understand and comply with the crews fatigue management program.
* Identify, develop and implement systems and processes that continuously improve the business.
* Supervise and mentor the LiveRun Support Data Coordinators in a team environment to assist each other with respective duties.
* Communicate with Network Access providers to ensure that all business daily operational requirements are met and adjusted accordingly.
* Report any issues with equipment being used to appropriate personnel and treat all business assets with respect and care.
* Perform other tasks, including duties of lower levels as required and directed.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Rail Industry experience
* Prior Live Run experience, or experience in a similar role within the Rail Industry
* Ability to solve and rectify live issues with train services
* Previous experience in train crew management, rostering and coordination
* Proven leadership and ability to mentor and coach team members
* Commitment to a safety culture, and have a can‐do customer focus
* Professionalism, integrity, reliability and a positive attitude
* Ability to work both, autonomously and in a team environment
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
