**About us**

**headspace** offers a 'one stop shop' for young people aged 12 -25 and their families who may be experiencing mental health challenges. Providing an opportunity for young people to receive help early and promote a 'no wrong door' approach to supporting young people and their families through the provision of GPs, counsellors, Alcohol & other Drug workers and Vocational and Educational support.

Alfred Health is the lead agency for this program and offers the opportunity to work in a growing dynamic healthcare environment.

**What you'll be doing**

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the core team, ensuring that day-to-day clinical work is carried out to effectively meet the needs of young people by providing oversight to the coordination and delivery of clinical services.

Providing clinical support and guidance to private mental health clinicians as well as providing clinician supervision to salaried clinical staff, you will also be keenly engaged in clinical and caseload reviews, actively managing referrals and demand for clinical services. This will also include ensuring young people have access to psychiatric review and assessment with Psychiatrists and Registrars. Where required or during high demand you will carry a caseload.

**About you**
- Tertiary level qualifications in an allied health discipline including Social Work, Psychology (clinical, counselling, 4+2 or 5+1 pathway), Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
- Eligibility for membership or membership with professional association - Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Psychology Board of Australia, or Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Post graduate qualifications in an area related to youth mental health and / or leadership (desirable)
- Australian working rights
- Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccinations
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
