About the role

BIG opportunities to grow – our company is expanding into pastries/new developments!

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Baker/Pâtissier to join our team at Leigh St Bakehouse in Adelaide, SA 5000. As the Head Baker/Pâtissier, you will be responsible for overseeing all baking and pastry production, ensuring the highest quality and consistency of our products. This is a full-time role, offering competitive remuneration and excellent career development opportunities.

What you\'ll be doing

- Manage and lead the baking and pastry team, providing guidance and mentorship
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand
- Ensure strict quality control and food safety standards are adhered to
- Create and innovate new recipes and baked goods to expand our product range
- Manage inventory and order ingredients and supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to optimise processes and improve efficiency
- Train and develop the skills of the baking and pastry team

What we\'re looking for

- Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Baker or Pâtissier in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Strong background in baking and pastry production, with expertise in a wide range of techniques and recipes
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Creativity and innovation in product development
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
