Independent Security Reviewer
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Independent Security Reviewer. This role involves reviewing security clearance decisions and conducting independent advisory reviews of adverse security assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing security clearance decisions made by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) under the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979 (section 83ED)
* Conducting independent advisory reviews of adverse security assessments furnished by ASIO to the Department of Home Affairs
Requirements:
* Eligible candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience in a field related to security or law enforcement
* Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role
Benefits:
This is a part-time position with a variable time commitment, depending on the number of review applications received. The successful candidate will be engaged by the Attorney-General's Department under a contract for services. Remuneration will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
